Fluff with a heavy dose of Oklahoma country girl

"When this book arrived in my mail box, I had no idea who this person was. After thumbing through the photos in the middle of the book, I realized that she had appeared in West Wing. OK, I thought, this Ms. Chenoweth must be an actress. After shuffling through many pages and many chapters of folksy snippets about bits and pieces of her life, I surmised that she must also be a classically trained singer. Then I went to You Tube and watched her sing and perform and, yes, this woman definitely has talent. However, her talent is not as a writer.
Ms. Chenoweth, please keep on belting out those melodies and acting up a storm—your performances are absolutely worth the cost of a ticket. The book, on the other hand, might be best used as a prop on one of your sets."

Enjoyable read - funny and sometimes touching

"First let me say that I believe it helps to at least vaguely know who the person is if you're going to read their memoir/autobiography. I've read a couple for people unknown to me and didn't enjoy them. That being said - anybody who has seen Kristin on TV, on stage, listened to her CDs, etc. and is somewhat familiar with her personality should enjoy this book. It's a light read, with an occasional bit of emotional downturn, but most of it is told in high spirits and humor. I appreciate people who can look at themselves and say "I might be famous and beautiful, but I know I'm not perfect...let me list my faults." It makes it much easier to relate to them!"
