"This story moved me to tears, laughter, thoughfulness, anger, and frustration, but always kept me in its thrall. Little Bee has one of the most powerful voices I have ever experienced in print or in life. The plight she endures, as well as the joys she experiences, opened my eyes to the suffering experienced by those living under oppression all over the world and the hardships faced by those who attempt to make new lives elsewhere. Chris Cleave holds nothing back and rightly so - the message is too important."
