"This is not dry history. This is a moving tribute to a man who became an outstanding president because he had the qualities that would make him so, integirity, understanding, compassion and strength. Lincoln comes across as a leader who understood the importance of having wide range of opinions at his disposal and the strength to take all the imput and make his own decisions, no matter how difficult. Though I knew what history has taught, I cried when he died as did his closest advisors. We lost so much. Everyone running for political office should bequired to read this book. It is truly outstanding."
